Reunion Lanyard

Three designs. One to wear home.

Three designs

Which one feels like ours?

The committee has not chosen yet — and this is not a decision that should be made without you.

Each design leans on something different: the crest we grew up under, the castle we are travelling to, the tartan of the country hosting us. And each one carries a different line of the words this community already knows by heart.

Have a look, then tell any member of the reunion committee which one you would rather wear.

  • Heritage Crest lanyard design: dark green badge with ornate gold filigree border, school crest and Latin motto

    Heritage Crest

Carries "Non scholae sed vitae discimus"

Deep green and gold, in the manner of a prize-day certificate. The crest sits at the head above Stet fortuna domus, and the motto runs along the foot — the words that were on the wall while we were still in the building.

  • Castle Engraving lanyard design: cream badge with a line engraving of Crossbasket Castle and a ribbon motto

    Castle Engraving

Carries "Praise and love be ever thine"

The quietest of the three. An engraving of Crossbasket Castle on cream with nothing competing for it, and the refrain on a ribbon beneath. The name reads clearly from across a room, which matters more than any of us would care to admit.

  • Tartan and Gold Seal lanyard design: tartan border, embossed gold MEHS seal in laurel, thistle and song refrain

    Tartan & Gold Seal

Carries "Safe for aye in memory's shrine"

A deep green and gold tartan border, with the gold MEHS seal crowned in laurel at the head. At the foot stands the thistle — Scotland's emblem of resilience, which seems about right for us — above the refrain.

The neck strap

The same, whichever badge we choose

The strap carries a tartan weave, repeating MEHSA 2027 and Crossbasket Castle in gold thread between small MEHS seals, with a thistle on the tab at the clip.

"Safe for aye in memory's shrine. Praise and love be ever thine."

It is a keepsake, not just a name tag — something to hold onto long after the ceilidh ends and the coach leaves Crossbasket Castle.

What Goes on the Reverse

Each badge will be printed with the guest's name, house, and class year on the back, so old classmates recognise each other instantly — even when the faces have grown a little more familiar.
